Have been thinking about this tail chop for 10+ years. Finally went ahead and did it. Cutting the frame was easy as was setting up the integrated tail light and bracket. The only issue I had was what to do with the plate light wire since the new tail light didn’t need it. Cut and taped it off and does not seem to effect anything. The mod is quite easy and I think it cleans up the tail nicely.

Easy job, great product. I cut the frame with a small pipe cutter which produces a nice clean cut. Installing the frame for backlight and license plate is easy as fastening an m6-bolt. I bought the normal frame, but omitted the license plate light anyway.

Installation was straight forward and the instructions that were included as well as the online video made me confident i could install it. Cutting your bike is not an easy thing to get your head around! I love the way my Monster 800 Dark now looks!!

Very well made kit. For the brake light + turn signals, its just plug and play. Just be careful if you use the tail chop to fix your bags. I did it and the tail chop rifted (it is not made for it). I had to ad two rilsan collars to secure the back light in place.

Makes the bike look much cleaner. Had to cut some of the bottom supports to my seat so it would go back on, but definitely worth it.

Easy installation, it all just works. Anyone with a monster needs to tail chop it.

End result is perfect. You will need to manipulate the bracket a bit to get a good fit so the seat will sit in it’s proper place.

Easier to fit than I thought. Just a bit of mucking around to making wiring tidy. Had to cut my Number plate light to get out of old brackets, then soldered back together. Looks great.

UK 695 owner who knew from the beginning that the tail just had to go! There were a few cheaper alternatives but went with the market leaders as didn't want to leave any room for error when chopping the frame! Great instructions coupled with the youtube vid,, just make sure you've got the right tools and a decent junior hacksaw and you're good to go! Makes my 695 look like a junior diavel and really streamlines the bike - thanks to the guys at Monstertailchop!

Tail chop bracket arrived without any drama, crystal clear instructions and fitted exact. Cut a small window in the base of my tail light lense and glued a piece of clear perspex in. Number plate now tight under the light an looks great! Only bad point is I can't see it when I ride!

I purchased the tail chop kit for my 2001 Monster 750. The kit came in the mail within about a week. The install was quick and easy, took less than an hour. The new look is exactly what I was going for. I emailed Ty for some quick questions and he got back to me in no time (great customer service). Bought one for my 2002 monster and absolutely love it. Makes the bike look so much sleeker. The factory rear fender is way too extended and ugly. This gives it the clean look ive been looking for.

Using the tail chop guide and video was so easy and the bracket fit perfectly. My Monster 750 just looks so much better and sportier now.

I just picked up an 05 S2R800 that had a hoakie little tail chop going on with resistors cemented under the tail out in the open. I picked up the tail chop that allows for using the stock directionals which is what I wanted. Excellent product, the turns, the tail light and the licence plate light all fit nicely on the tail chop bracket. Very happy with the product and the results!!

Sorry this took so long, I’m stationed overseas and I don’t normally leave reviews for a product that should do what it says......this is a clean, solid, great looking piece of equipment to add to your bike. The tailchop cleared up the rear of the Monster 695. In my opinion it gave it a much more modern look. It fitted without any problem and the instructions and quality of the product are of high standard. I highly recommend this product.

Well I have to say I was extremely nervous about doing the tail chop, but really liked the look of the integrated tail light and so I finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. Basically I'm a novice tool type person who can barely change the oil and filter, but its done and all went well. I found getting the seat back on was the hardest part, the wires were all wound up in there very tight. Eventually though I got it locked back down. Very nice product and extremely happy. Even more happy when my girlfriend saw it and said "wow, that thing looks bad ass" That brought a smile to my face !!! The LED's are very bright and the turn signals are cool as hell. This upgrade is a must do. Also one last thing, the customer service from ducatimonstertailchop.com was amazing, easy to contact and replies within 24 hours.

Halfway there, already a huge improvement. Still waiting for turn signals & plate, one more update once it's done!

It does its job and it looks great. Fitment was good and instructions/installing was easy. Only issue was the electrical fitment with the original taillight where it became an issue. Luckily I didn't plan to keep stock light so it turned out well. Would buy again if I needed to.

All good, re-arranged the seat cable and had to drill another indicator hole but all is well.

Love the chop. Simple, and supremely compatible. This is the Ducati Monster from the Netflix Original Film WHEELMAN (release date 10/20/2017). Two were used in the film, and this was taken from the stock bike used in the film, and turned into what you see now.

Really happy with this kit, I got the short version and it fits as I expected on my 620. Easy enough to install, even for me with limited experience. But I would recommend checking the instruction video first though, especially if you're like me and not so experienced in the garage :) A thing I noticed when installing was that since I have the high pipes on my 620, the included set of screws to mount the tail eliminator were to short. No problem though, I just got longer screws at a hardware store and I was good to go. Just a tip to the fellow high pipe people out there :) Great customer support as well! Thanks guys!

Very easy install. It took me about 30 minutes total

I didn't use the standard licence plate light but drilled some holes in the tail light and mounted the licence plate higher. It looks great and my plate holder is bolted in three places so I won't loose it.

Without a tail tidy, my S2R looked hideous to say the least. Installing the tail tidy was straightforward and easy to do. Now my bike looks like it should: Beautiful... and really stands out. I love it

The quality of the product is perfect!, but it was a little more work than planned.. I thought I have a '2000 model' Ducati Monster, but apparently it's actually a 1999 model, which makes the tail chop job a little more complicated. I had to adjust some more than shown in the video.. With some 'creativity' thats no problem. The tail looks much better now!

Fantastic bit of kit, really finished the bike off by getting rid of that stupid tea tray suspended off the rear of the bike. Solid and a perfect fit, number plate fits snugly underneath it (I know mine appears to big, that's the correct legal size for its MOT). Very fast dispatch! Took only two days to get from Utah to Heathrow in the U.K. (and another 4 days to get from Heathrow, 125 miles up the road to me - but that's not MonsterTailChop's fault"). Massively appreciated! Very basic kit to install and really transforms the bike!

Love the tail chop – the only thing I'd say is that it was a tad tricky making it work on my 1997 M600 but the end result looks awesome!

Well thought out product - the video is very helpful to augment the written instructions. Could be done in an hour, but best to set aside 2 hours and take your time to watch the video a couple times, measure twice/cut once, etc. I highly recommend also doing the integrated taillight, makes the rear end so clean!

I installed the tail chop kit today and it looks great! I measured 1” back, taped the frame and used a set of tubing cutters that I have for plumbing and copper pipe. Took about 20-seconds to cut each side and was super clean and neat with no filing at all! Better way than a hack saw. Thanks.

Since I bought my Ducati I thought about chopping the tail. I WAS a little afraid about messing with the frame and the original parts. Hi, here’s a couple of pics and my thoughts on the tail chop kit, it’s probably the easiest tail chop I’ve done (and I’ve done quite a few) the information available for the chop is plentiful,ie video/instructions. I had to cut down and re-drill for the number plate as the bracket is to suit a standard Sweden size plate

This was one of the first mods I did to my Monster and it’s still one of my favorites. Really cleans up the bike nicely. High quality kit with clear concise instructions which made it all very easy. Thanks!!

Wow, tail chop a dream, looks ace but not so you get pulled by police! Instructions and video made it sooo easy, Bit scary taking hacksaw to my baby but results far outweighed that bit. Go for it everyone! Banish the plastic!

Hi there Ty, Please see the pic attached of my Monster S2R800 Tail Chop using your kit. Worked a treat, thanks. I fitted a Ventura rack at the same time that necessitated some changes of bolts compared to the kit but it all worked ok.
